Shipment Connector

Shipment Connector for Business Central Cloud

  • Released version: 5.6.0.0

[Update] Alternative Receiver Address in Shipment Journal

Section titled “[Update] Alternative Receiver Address in Shipment Journal”

Users can now select an alternative shipping address for the receiver directly within the Shipment Journal. Previously, it was not possible to specify a different delivery address from within the journal, requiring users to work around this limitation elsewhere.

What has been done:

  • Added support for alternative “Ship-to” addresses for the receiver in the Shipment Journal
  • Users can now override the default receiver address when creating a shipment via the journal
  • This improvement is part of Shipment Core and applies to all connectors (Shipmondo, nShift Ship, etc.)

Usability notes:

  • The alternative address fields are accessible directly on the Shipment Journal — no additional setup is required
  • Makes it easier to handle shipments with different delivery addresses without leaving the journal
  • This feature is available for all connectors included in Shipment Connector

[Fix] Track & Trace Page Missing Data in Shipment Journal

Section titled “[Fix] Track & Trace Page Missing Data in Shipment Journal”

A bug has been resolved where information was missing or not displayed correctly on the Track & Trace page when accessed from within the Shipment Journal.

What has been done:

  • Fixed a bug causing Track & Trace data to be incomplete or missing in the Shipment Journal view
  • Tracking numbers, shipment status, and related details are now displayed correctly
  • This fix is part of Shipment Core and applies to all connectors

Usability notes:

  • After this update, Track & Trace information will display correctly when opened from the Shipment Journal
  • No configuration changes are needed — the fix is applied automatically upon update

[Feature] Loading Meter Field Now Available in Waybill Lines

Section titled “[Feature] Loading Meter Field Now Available in Waybill Lines”

A new Loading Meter field has been added to Waybill Lines. This field is part of Shipment Core and is available for all connectors.

Loading meter is a measurement used in freight transport to indicate how much of a truck’s loading space — measured in meters — a shipment occupies. It is commonly used by carriers that price their services based on how much space a shipment takes up on a truck.

What has been done:

  • Added a Loading Meter field to Waybill Lines
  • The field is hidden by default and can be made visible through page personalization
  • This improvement is part of Shipment Core and applies to all connectors (Shipmondo, nShift Ship, etc.)

Usability notes:

  • Users working with carriers that price shipments by loading meter can now see and use this field directly on Waybill Lines — making it easier to get accurate freight quotes
  • The field is hidden by default — enable it through page personalization if you need it
  • This feature is available for all connectors included in Shipment Connector

[Update] Delivery/Pickup Date Fields Are Now Optional (Shipmondo)

Section titled “[Update] Delivery/Pickup Date Fields Are Now Optional (Shipmondo)”

This change applies specifically to the Shipmondo connector.

When filling in Delivery or Pickup Details for a shipment, the date fields are no longer required. This removes a previous restriction that forced users to enter dates even when they were not relevant to the shipment.

What has been done:

  • Made date fields in the Delivery and Pickup Details section optional
  • Shipments in the Shipmondo connector can now be created without specifying dates in these sections

Usability notes:

  • Shipmondo users no longer need to fill in dates in the Delivery/Pickup Details section unless it is relevant
  • This streamlines shipment creation in cases where specific pickup or delivery dates are not needed
  • Existing shipments with dates already filled in are unaffected by this change

[Feature] Support for Shipmondo’s New Parties System (Shipmondo)

Section titled “[Feature] Support for Shipmondo’s New Parties System (Shipmondo)”

This change applies specifically to the Shipmondo connector.

The Shipmondo connector now integrates with Shipmondo’s new “Parties” system. This allows more flexible handling of multiple parties involved in a shipment, such as senders, receivers, and additional stakeholders with extended party information.

What has been done:

  • Added integration with Shipmondo’s new Parties API
  • Shipment data now includes party information as required by Shipmondo’s updated platform

Usability notes:

  • This update ensures continued compatibility with Shipmondo’s evolving platform
  • Standard shipping workflows are unchanged — party information is handled automatically in the background
  • No manual setup is required for typical use cases

[Fix] Reserved Customs Lines No Longer Re-Sent (Shipmondo)

Section titled “[Fix] Reserved Customs Lines No Longer Re-Sent (Shipmondo)”

This change applies specifically to the Shipmondo connector.

A bug has been resolved where customs lines that had already been reserved and submitted could be unintentionally re-sent in a subsequent operation. This could potentially result in duplicate customs declarations being sent to Shipmondo.

What has been done:

  • Fixed an issue where already-reserved customs lines were included again in later postings
  • The system now correctly identifies and skips customs lines that have already been sent

Usability notes:

  • Shipmondo users working with customs information benefit from this fix automatically — no changes to existing workflows are required
  • This is particularly relevant for users handling multi-line or multi-step customs declarations
  • Shipment Core has been updated to version 5.6.0.0 — no manual steps are required upon upgrade
  • A new dependency on XtensionIT Core has been added to both the Shipmondo and nShift Ship connectors — this is a future-facing replacement for the current License Manager and is handled automatically during installation
  • No breaking changes have been introduced in this release
  • The update is compatible with all supported Business Central versions
