Changes in this release
Section titled “Changes in this release”[Update] Improved volume calculation for packages
Section titled “[Update] Improved volume calculation for packages”The way package volume is calculated has been updated to give more accurate results, especially when shipping multiple packages on a single line.
What has been done:
- The package volume (PkgVol) is now calculated as length × width × height.
- The line volume (LineVol) is now calculated as the package volume multiplied by the number of packages (Colli Quantity).
Usability notes:
- Volume data sent to the carrier will now be more accurate.
- If you ship multiple packages on a single shipment line, the total volume will now correctly reflect the full quantity shipped.
[Update] Customs: quantity unit code added for export shipments
Section titled “[Update] Customs: quantity unit code added for export shipments”When sending a shipment with an Export Reason, the system now automatically includes the quantity unit code in the customs information sent to the carrier.
What has been done:
- Added the quantity unit code (eDekQuantityUnitCode) to the customs object when a shipment is sent with an Export Reason.
Usability notes:
- Customs declarations for export shipments will now include the required quantity unit code.
- This reduces the risk of customs rejections or errors when shipping internationally with an export reason.
