New Shipment Connector version 4.12.0.0

This December release features further iteration on Delivery Date usage on Warehouse Shipments a long with a new tracking url feature in Transsmart. Read the comprehensive list of changes below. If there are any questions please direct them to support@xtensionit.com.

Features

1.1. Added Tracking url field on the track & trace page (Transsmart)

For Trassmart we have added a Tracking url field as they do not support general use of our track package functionality. If this feature is also available in the other platforms API support will also be added for those platforms.

To use the tracking url simply click it on the track & Trace page.

Further iteration

1.1. Added support for Delivery Date on Warehouse Shipments

An issue our users that are using Business Centrals advanced Warehousing with Warehouse Shipments was that you were unable to change the Delivery Date on that document and it required a ton of backtracking in order to change the requested delivery date field on the Sales Order. Therefore we have added a new field under the Shipping section on the warehouse shipments that displays the current Delivery date from the source document and this can then be overwritten via this field.

This allows you to update the delivery date for the shipment

We do not update the requested delivery date as that is the original date on the document which the customer has requested and this is also a field that can be calculated with Business Central setup. Therefore we have elected only to update the promised delivery date on the source document no. and use this as the delivery date. The promised delivery date is not calculated and is the final delivery date in Business Central hence why it makes sense to use this as the delivery date we sent to the carrier. Further iteration is expected for this in terms of automation so that in can be calculated based on Shipping agent service setup with Shipping time. More on this in the future.
